Gary's Airbag Service is Hiring an ADAS Technician Near Sacramento, CA

Automotive Calibration Specialists (ACS) & Gary's Airbag Service (GAS) is now hiring a Technician, for our Greater Sacramento area. ACS/GAS is a fast growing company that bases our business on upholding the integrity of our work and the safety of our customers. This is a full-time position responsible for complete dynamic/static calibrations, AC evac/recharge, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical diagnosis and repairs by following OE specifications and repair standards. The technician will have access to OEM scan tools needed, provided by our company to return the vehicle to pre-loss condition.

Responsibilities:

  • Be customer service-focused first, with the ability to develop relationships and deliver operational consistency.
  • Main focus will be part of a team performing mechanical repairs that body shops and other companies are unable to complete.
  • Lifting and inspecting vehicles for damage using floor jacks, quick jacks and or two post lifts.
  • Utilize various tools, diagnostic equipment, and IT support team to make the most effective calibrations, diagnostics, and repairs of vehicles.
  • Perform static and dynamic ADAS Calibrations on foreign, domestic and EV (electric) vehicles onsite and at customer locations.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical or calibration repairs.
  • Picking up and delivering vehicles as needed.
  • Test drive vehicles after repairs are completed.
  • Adequately explain ADAS calibration specifications and repair planning needs; to include collision repair center personnel, insurance adjusters, and direct customers.
  • Complete interior repairs.
  • Module Programming.
  • Wiring/harness repairs.
  • Evacuate, Recharge and diagnosis of AC systems.
  • Continuously learning new technical information/techniques.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Diagnostic Scan Tools preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in automotive repairs and/or diagnostics. Preferred Dealership experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Personable, friendly demeanor with “How can we help” customer service approach.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods during the repair of a vehicle.
  • Must be able to walk, sit, bend, push/pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach or crawl frequently.
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and/or caustic chemicals.
  • Occasionally exposed to hot, cold, wet, or humid conditions. Must have the ability to work in a shop environment in inclement weather. Occasionally working outside.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
  • Requires frequent driving of company and customer vehicles.
  • Extensive travel within the assigned area may be expected.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to comfortably navigate a computer.

Physical & Environmental

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, and is required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, and walk occasionally for long periods at a time. The employee may occasionally be required to reach with hands, arms and move objects up to 50 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. In addition, abilities for assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned is required.
